Direct-to-Garment (DTG) Printing: Bringing Your Designs to Life

We’re committed to delivering sustainable fashion that highlights individuality and artistry. One of the innovative techniques we use is Direct-to-Garment (DTG) printing, which allows us to create high-quality, custom apparel with unmatched detail and precision. DTG printing is the perfect choice for unique, limited-run designs.

What Makes DTG Printing Unique?

Direct-to-garment printing sprays water-based inks directly onto fabric, much like an inkjet printer for clothing. The ink bonds with the fibers, creating soft, durable prints that won’t crack or peel. This modern method eliminates screens or stencils, making it ideal for intricate, multi-color designs.

Unlike traditional methods, DTG printing ensures your garment is as comfortable as it is stylish. Plus, we use non-toxic, eco-friendly inks, reinforcing our dedication to sustainable practices.

The Benefits of DTG Printing

We’re proud to offer DTG printing for select products because of its numerous benefits to both your finished garment and the planet:

  • Vibrant and Detailed Designs: DTG captures even the most intricate details, gradients, and vibrant colors, ensuring your apparel is a true reflection of your style.
  • Soft and Comfortable Prints: The ink bonds with the fabric, maintaining the natural softness and breathability of the garment.
  • Eco-Friendly Practices: By using water-based, non-toxic inks and minimizing waste, DTG aligns perfectly with our commitment to sustainability.

DTG allows us to create high-quality, custom designs while staying environmentally conscious, making it a win for you and the planet.

Where DTG Printing Shines

At TeeStitch Apparel, DTG printing brings versatility to a variety of products:

  • T-Shirts: Bold, detailed designs on soft, breathable cotton shirts.
  • Hoodies and Sweatshirts: Cozy, custom prints on cotton-rich blends.
  • Tote Bags and Accessories: Everyday essentials made unique with eye-catching designs.

The Limitations of DTG Printing

While DTG printing offers many benefits, it’s important to consider its limitations:

  • Fabric Restrictions: Works best on 100% cotton or cotton-dominant blends. Printing on synthetic fabrics can result in less vibrant and less durable designs.
  • Not Ideal for All-Over Prints: DTG is best for localized designs and cannot achieve seamless all-over prints like sublimation.
  • White Underbase for Dark Colors: To ensure vibrancy on darker garments, a white underbase is required. While this ensures designs pop, it can slightly affect the softness of the print. Additionally, designs with black elements may appear more grayish or faded due to the white underbase, especially if the original artwork includes black. We work closely with artists to provide guidelines for optimal print outcomes but do not alter their designs to preserve artistic integrity.

A Commitment to Quality and Sustainability

DTG printing perfectly embodies TeeStitch’s mission: combining sustainability with high-quality artistry. By choosing DTG, you’re not only getting vibrant, durable designs but also supporting eco-conscious practices that reduce waste and prioritize the health of our planet. Every piece we create reflects our shared commitment to style, quality, and sustainability.
